Since the 1960s, St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church has been a center for progressive thought and action in Washington, especially in the Columbia Heights and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods, as well as in the Episcopal Church and in the larger society.
With the facilities we own and the community of faith that makes this building its home, we are able to have a wide range of spiritual formation programs and small groups and a number of ongoing projects that provide food to hungry people, advocate for affordable housing, and work for justice in our neighborhood and in our city.
Our building is home to several organizations doing a wide range of direct local service and international advocacy work.
We invite you to consider being a part of our community as we strive to serve God and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
