Misa Alegría (Spanish)
every 1st wed
of the month at 7:30PM
Worship & Sacraments
Our worship, centered on the Eucharistic feast (Holy Communion), deepens our faith and encourages us to faithful action.
On Sundays, we celebrate the Holy Eucharist in Spanish at 5:30pm.
Misa Alegría, our Spanish-speaking congregation, formed in 2006. The congregation is appropriately named: Misa Alegría means “joyful mass,” and the service is full of life. A time for refreshments and fellowship follows, often until late in the evening.
On Sundays, we celebrate the Holy Eucharist in English at 8:00 and 10:30am.
Child care and Godly Play (Sunday school) take place during the 10:30 service, and the 10:30 service choir leads the music.
Taizé - a contemplative service
Our Taizé service, which is bilingual (English and Spanish), meets monthly on every first Wednesday at 7:30pm for about 45 minutes.
In this contemplative service, we gather around the labyrinth in our sanctuary with an icon and candles for a peaceful time of chant, scripture, prayer and silence. Light refreshments follow, to facilitate conversation and fellowship.
Taizé is an ecumenical monastic community in France founded as a place for reconciliation. Taizé songs are short melodic chants that are sung repetitively, creating a meditative, collective prayer.
Weekdays and Feast Days
We celebrate the Eucharist on major feast days, in addition to our regular Sunday services.
Priests at St. Stephen’s perform baptisms, marriages and holy unions, confirmation and reception, funerals, and other sacraments, including prayers for healing, thanksgiving for a child, blessing of a home, commitment to Christian service, discernment, at the time of death, or planning a funeral.
